A Search for Great Vegan Food in San Diego

Acure Body Care Products

I am officially addicted to Acure body care products.  It all started when I walked into my local co-op and asked for a face wash recommendation.  Ever since, I have expanded my Acure collection to include all of the products the store carries!

Face Wash:

As I mentioned above, my first Acure purchase was a face wash.  Specifically, I was looking for something to help me get the sun tan lotion off of my face after a day at the beach.  That is how I came to purchase Acure’s Brightening Facial Scrub. The grainy face wash effortlessly freed layers of sweat, salt, and sun tan from my face.  I loved the texture and the dark green color.  And I, of course, loved that it was vegan and did NOT contain sulfates, parabens, PEG’s, phthalates, silicone, gluten, or synthetic fragrances.

When the cooler weather arrived and dried out my skin, I found myself back in the aisles of the co-op searching for another face wash.  This time I turned to the Facial Cleansing Creme.  The product infused my face with just the right amount of moisture and smelled pleasantly of mint.  It made me look forward to washing my face every day!

Shampoo and Conditioner:

I then decided to try Acure’s Lemongrass Shampoo and Conditioner.  The shampoo and conditioner immediately became part of my permanent hair care rotation.  The shampoo cleaned my hair without leaving it overly-dry while the conditioner left my hair feeling soft and smelling softly of lemongrass.  Acure chooses the ingredients for its shampoo and conditioner with care: they are vegan and color safe and do NOT include gluten, sulfates, parabans, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances.

Lotion:

Acure also makes a variety of body lotions.  I tried the Unscented Body Lotion with a cocoa butter base and was hooked.  I use the lotion all year long — it’s not overly oily but can banish even the driest of skin.  And like the other Acure products, it is vegan and does NOT include parabans, sulfates, or gluten, so you can feel good about rubbing in as much of it as you need!
